By the grace of God the number of Koinonia churches is increasing rapidly. Thus the need of capable and qualified leaders to lead the people of God is increasing as well. Since people are very busy these days they are unable to do a long-term theological study. So we realized the need of an ongoing training for our people, where we could develop energetic Spirit-led Christian leaders for the local body of Christ.
According to our need and vision/mission of our church, we have launched a regular training from this year 2012. It will be a regular Bible training for all levels of leaders and Christian workers of Koinonia churches and beyond, and which will help them grow in Christian maturity and effective ministry.
This institution will be known as Koinonia Leadership Institute of Nepal (KLIN), and it will work as a wing of Koinonia Church council with the coordination of Koinonia Mission department.
The vision of Koinonia Leadership Institute of Nepal (KLIN) is "to develop dynamic Spirit-led Christian servant leaders."
Various levels of trainings will be organized regularly according to the need of the church. The course will include :
Diploma in Leadership Studies (DLS),
Certificate in Leadership Studies (CLS),
Koinonia Evangelism Training (KET) &
Koinonia Discipleship Training (KDT), etc.
The topics for DLS will include :
Bible Survey: OT & NT,
The Spirit-filled Christ-like life (Spiritual Formation),
Bible Study Method,
Pastoral Ministry,
Biblical Preaching,
Church Growth & Small Group Ministry,
Church Administration,
Church History,
Church Mission, Evangelism and Discipleship,
Servant-Steward Leadership,
Christian Family,
Major Religions,
Basic Theology I (God, Humanity & Sin),
Transforming Leadership,
Cult & Apologetics,
Biblical Counseling and
Basic Theology II (Salvation, Church & Future Things).
In the same way, the topics for KLT will include: Christian Character & Leadership Role, Basic Theology I (God, Humanity & Sin), Bible Survey: OT & NT, Basic Theology II (Salvation, Church & Future Things), Biblical preaching, and Bible study method.
The Diploma in Leadership Studies will be in three phases: first, second and third year. Each year will be divided into three trimesters and there will be a break between each trimester. Besides this, the Certificate in Leadership Studies will be one year course, and other trainings like Discipleship and Evangelism will be organized according to the need. Spiritual retreats, seminars and conferences will be organized from the time to time.
Those who have the special degree in theology and other qualifications for teaching are qualified to teach in the training.
Koinonia Leadership Institute of Nepal will provide Rs. 200 per hour to the teachers in the Diploma in Leadership Studies and Koinonia Leadership Training.
Rs. 2,000 for a trimester, which will cover the expenses of materials (class notes) and meals.
The KLIN will provide 50 % scholarship for some persons, who are serving the Lord actively and have desire to learn but being unable to pay the cost of the training. But there should be the some contribution of local churches too. It will apply in both training, and trainees need to fill up the scholarship form for scholarship, and the scholarship committee will decide to whom to give it.
